The recently economic crises has been called the “Worst Economic Crises” since the 1930’s, and Uncle Sam “The Government” is stepping up to help taxpayers with a break or two this year — 2009 Taxes.
2008 resulted in many changes to the 2008 and 2009 tax law that may lower your 2009 tax bill.
Here’s a brief summary of changes for 2009 tax law
Tax Law change 1 – $75,000 first time homebuyer’s tax credit
Tax Law change 2 – $500 (single) to $1000 (joint) property tax deduction
Tax Law change 3 – Sales tax deduction
Tax Law change 4 – Tuition and fees deduction
Tax Law change 5 – Limits raised for the child care credit
Tax Law change 6 – Mileage deduction increased to $0.50 for the first half of 2008, and $0.58 for the second half of 2008
