What You Should Know About Your 2009 Taxes

2009 TaxesThe recently economic crises has been called the “Worst Economic Crises” since the 1930’s, and Uncle Sam “The Government” is stepping up to help taxpayers with a break or two this year — 2009 Taxes.

2008 resulted in many changes to the 2008 and 2009 tax law that may lower your 2009 tax bill.

Here’s a brief summary of changes for 2009 tax law

Tax Law change 1 – $75,000 first time homebuyer’s tax creditNew tax laws

Tax Law change 2 – $500 (single) to $1000 (joint) property tax deduction

Tax Law change 3 – Sales tax deduction

Tax Law change 4 – Tuition and fees deduction

Tax Law change 5 – Limits raised for the child care credit

Tax Law change 6 – Mileage deduction increased to $0.50 for the first half of 2008, and $0.58 for the second half of 2008
