When we were kidsFor those of us in our thirties and forties — we find ourselves in a weird position.  We still hear the stories from our parents “How they walked twenty miles in the snow to school” or “How a loaf of bread was 10 cents”.  But on the flip side of the coin is our hardship stories like:

The New “When We Were Kids” Stories for the Thirty and above Group

  • When we were kids we didn’t have the Internet.  If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the library and look-up the book in the card catalogue.
  • When we were kids, we didn’t have email.  We had to write a letter, with a pen (and no spell checker).
  • When we were kids, there were no MP3′s.  If you wanted to copy music you had to wait all day to tape it off the radio.  And most of the time the DJ talked over the beginning of the song.
  • When we were kids, we had to use a TV guide to find something to watch on TV.  There was no such thing as channel surfing useless you plan to get off your butt to change the station.

Add your own “When we were kids” stories.
