Health Care ReformJoin the national online discussion on health care reform in the United States. This week President Obama asks us to submit questions on Health Care reform. Some of those questions will be answered live on Wednesday.

Transcription of the Video “Health Care Reform”

Our nation is in the midst of a conversation on one of the most important issues of our time — Health Care Reform. It’s been a lot of back and forward on this issue in the media and in Washington. But the bottom line here is very simple, non-action is not an option.

Our current Healthcare system is bankrupting families and is forcing businesses to shut their doors as premiums are rising 3x faster than wages. And healthcare cost are the number one cause of our long terms deficits. Which is why achieving healthcare reform is the number one thing we can do for our national long term physical health.

Now, health care reform can be a hard issues to understand, but it’s one that affects every family, and every community across this nation. So, as Congress debates this issue here in Washington I want you to be a part of this conversation.

That is why I’m asking you to get involved by responding to this video with any questions you might have about healthcare reform. Then this Wednesday, July 1, 2009 I will answer some of the most popular questions in an online TownHall.

Ultimately, your engagement on this issue is just as important as that of our law makers. I have always believed that real change does not come from Washington. It comes from the American people. And we will not be able to achieve reform without you.

So, America tell me what you want to know about health care reform; and I will do my best to answer your questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
