Today it is almost impossible not to know about sex. However, each day we hear of some young lady having her first or second child –sometimes more. Some of these young ladies begin to feel it’s all they are good for and resort to State and/or Federal agencies for assistance. Because of their babies, some young women give up on their dreams of becoming whatever they wanted to become before there pregnancies.
Yes, it’s harder to reach your dream(s) but it can still be done in most cases. Instead of just accepting handouts from the state and federal agencies they should look into the various programs available from these agencies and turn their life around. Young women may find these agencies have daycare, stipends, and other available resources. Some agencies provide placement after graduation as well. A lot of larger companies also provide on-site daycare services for their employees or provide telecommute or flex hour. Other companies may provide ”work from home” opportunities.
Using some agencies services or opting to work from home may feel as if you’re limited, but learning new skills, obtaining a degree, and/or other advantages will out weigh any limitation. Just think in the future you could be a mentor to another young women who has fallen into the same situation. Don’t give up because of the baby.
