Will you be watching snow come Feb 17, 2009?  Digital TV is coming — it’s the big switch from analog to an all digital signal.  If you have cable the answer to that question ins probably NO.  However, I have been watching the Oxygen channel which has been running an on screen message stating my cable provider has not switched over to their digital signal.  I have FIOS!  So maybe all of the channels I current have may not be available come Feb 17, 2009.

If you don’t have cable, direct TV, the disk etc … You will need a digital converter box.  Here is a link to a government voucher worth $40.00 for purchasing a digital converter (Apply Now).

Note: If you’ve purchased a new TV (March 07 or later) chances are the digital converter was built-in.   Therefore, you will not have to purchase the converter box.
