Alternative Fuel Vehicles And Alternatives To Fuel
Diesels are much more efficient than gasoline engines. Many diesel engines get 30% better mileage; and if you want to take it a step farther, try an alternative to fuel — cooking oil. That’s right, the stuff we cook with, corn oil in now corn alternative fuel.
When the prices of fuel started going up, Chad Ogren started using a diesel alternative fuel — alternative biodiesel aka cooking oil.
Chad Ogren began using alternative biodiesel when gas price hit $5.00 a gallon. He gets the corn alternative fuel from restaurants by offering a clean up service. Chad then filters the corn alternative fuel and runs his truck on it. He had to run a series of modifications on his truck to run on this diesel alternative fuel, but Chad is happy to have made the switch. Chad is currently saving $150 per week by using the alternative biodiesel fuel.

Did you know — the inventor of the diesel engine invented the diesel engine to run off of peanut oil (which is a diesel alternative fuel)?
